A Moment Between Sky and Water

Suspended mid-air, a black-headed gull takes flight from a wooden pier, its wings stretched wide with rhythmic elegance. In winter plumage, the dark markings on its head fade, replaced by subtle traces of its summer mask. These gulls are highly adaptable, thriving across wetlands, lakes, and even urban parks.

A species both graceful and gregarious, they are often seen in flocks, communicating with sharp, high-pitched calls. Yet in this instant, there is only silence—the quiet poetry of lift and light.
