High above the treetops, a young grey heron ventures out into the world—still learning the ways of wind and wing. But not all eyes in the sky are kind. A hooded crow, bold and unprovoked, swoops in with unrelenting purpose. This is not about territory. It is a lesson—one of many the young heron must learn. In the wild, strength is tested not only by predators, but by rivals, by neighbours… and by those who simply enjoy a chase.
